A mother's touch can ease the pain that a child feel when he or she is having a fever and as a mom, I'm thankful that this type of thermometer was invented. I know how accurate this thermometer is and I will also prefer the non-contact type of thermometer. Any thermometer that can measure the temperature by scanning through the forehead is a must have, because when you own this you don't have to disturb your sleeping sick baby just to take his or her temperature.
